Rachel Newton is a British-Israeli writer. Her work has appeared in Mishpacha magazine, and her most recent book, Fault Lines, is a collection of short stories. Trained as a marriage and family counselor, she draws on her background in psychology to inform both her fiction and the self-awareness and relationship workshops she leads. Her writing often explores the emotional terrain of parenting a special needs child and living in a country at war.
In this short story, Rachel Newton tells a story of intergenerational guilt and the lengths one will go to for the sake of atonement.
