Nancy Edelman has been a yeshiva high school educator for over 30 years, most recently at SAR High School where she teaches English and A.P. Art History. She also runs the SARts performing arts appreciation club, advises the performance poetry team, teaches the after-school Humanities Colloquium, and is an adult education book club facilitator. She is the co-creator and facilitator of the Yeshiva League Envision Shakespeare competition. She was the recipient of the 2015 Teaneck Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year award and experienced 30 minutes of national fame as a Jeopardy contestant in 2021. Nancy received her BA in English at UCLA, and her MA in the Teaching of English at Teachers College, Columbia University. Gillian Steinberg teaches English at SAR High School where she is also the Director of Writing and Educational Innovation for Machon Siach. She is the author of Thomas Hardy: The Poems and Philip Larkin and His Audiences, both from Palgrave Macmillan, as well as dozens of peer-reviewed and popular press articles. She is also the creator of teachingwritingbetter.com and works extensively as a developmental editor for academic writers. Gillian was twice named the Lillian F. and William L. Silber Professor of the Year at Yeshiva College. She earned her BA with Honors from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and her MA and PhD from the University of Delaware.
